At Lakewood's Soar Autism Center, every child is celebrated and supported in their growth by our entire team. We are lucky to be in a beautiful business park where we can go on group walks and see geese and ducks grow up and swim in the ponds.

Meet the team

Kacie Schrum, MPH

Center Operations Director

Kacie is the Center Operations Director at the Lakewood Campus. Originally from North Carolina, Kacie moved to Colorado where she practiced social work within the community mental health sphere for years. Driven by a commitment to large-scale impact, she later earned her Master of Public Health with a focus on Health Systems Management to more effectively serve her community. In her leadership role at Lakewood, Kacie blends her clinical roots with operational strategy to foster environments where both staff and clients can thrive. Outside of work she is usually found camping, fly fishing, or spending quality time with her family and friends.
Abby Trotz, MA, BCBA

Abby Trotz, MA, BCBA

Partner Clinician

Abby has been working with children with autism for 10 years. She received her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Western Michigan University and earned her Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) Certification in February 2025. Abby is passionate about the science of applied behavior analysis and how it applies to all aspects of life, not just individuals with autism. She helps train and supervise clinicians at two of Soar’s centers and helps support our integrated care model.
